Gerrit has been in the financial planning industry since 1986 and he founded Ultima Financial Planners in the year 2000.
He won the highly sought after Financial Planner of the Year award, in 2003. This award is given to the the winner of an annual competition, held by Personal Finance and the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa.
Gerrit co-authored the book, Protect your business like a Pro and is currently hosting a radio program called Wealth through Financial Planning, on Impact Radio (a South African radio station).

He is responsible for financial planning, estate planning and ensuring that client portfolios are aligned with their financial goals.
